Not positive if the John McFarlane married to Barbara Rogers is the son of this John McFarlane. According to the Baptism record of 1810 at St. Nicholas, in Aberdeen, the father John McFarlane is a soldier with the Fifeshire Militia and his wife is Margaret Leask.
In the 1841 census, there is a John McFarline, b. 1786 in Scotland living at Scott's Court in Aberdeen, and is a weaver. Next to him in the record is a Margaret McFarline, b. 1796 in Aberdeenshire.
