Notes from descendant Rita Woodward said he disappeared 1901, foul play suspected.
He was living with his family in Haskell Co., TX in 1900. A daughter was born in 1902. His widow and the family were living in Jackson Co. Oklahoma in 1910.
In the 1910 census, Sarah says she has 11 children, 10 alive. She is living with Jack, 15, McKinley, 13, Ova 11, and Daisy, age 8.
Martha Mae never appeared in the census records with Newton and Sarah, because it appears they were in Oklahoma for the 1880 census. By 1900, Martha has married Glasscock and is living in Hunt Co. There appears to be another child, probably born after Martha Mae, possibly in Indian Territory as well, but that child is unknown.Newton married Sarah Melissa Roberts in 1875.
