Circumstantial evidence suggests that Robert McFarlin, born 1783 in Londonderry and died 6 October 1855 in the Christiana Hundred of Delaware is this brother, but we cannot prove it.«/b» (Research):«b»It appears that Edward had a brother Robert McFarland, born 1783 in Ireland, who can be found in the 1850 census in New Castle Delaware, Division 3 living next to Edward Arthur McFarlin age 24. The Robert McFarland was married to Sarah Hayes on Feb. 29, 1808 in Ireland, they came to U.S. in 1806 from Londonderry on Ship Brutus. When he died in 1855 he left a will with John H. McFarlan as executor. Named his son Edward, Robert, William W. and grand son Henry McFarlan and son-in-law John Aldrich.«/b» | McFarlin, Edward EdM02 (I14369)

I have been in contact with two family members from her branch and both– --though they do not know each other— indicate she was born in Ireland and came with George and his wife as an infant.
