• Notes

  1 - Living at home in 1861 and 1871 census. Had polio as a child and was left crippled. Tailor, in his own business Called Duncan in the 1861 census. In 1881 census - 5 Cross St, Crieff In 1891 census - Cross, Crieff In 1901 census - 8 Church St., Crieff It is interesting that James does not appear in the list of siblings and their spouses written out by brother John (ref#4) and found in the Family Bible. 3 - I don't think James married twice. There is simply some conflict between researchers over the surname of James wife, as Mary Ann is all we get from the census.
