Tyrone, by Margaret his wife, sister to Colin Campbell, then of Tanderagee Castle, and had issue, Mr. H. J. MacFarlane m. 2ndly, 24 Nov. 1891, Elizabeth Mary. dau. of Lieut.-Gen. Augustus St. John Clerke, K.H., by Louisa his wife, dau. of Very Rev. Holt Waring, of Waringstown, co. Down, and d. 29 June, 1901. He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin, took his BA degree in 1837 and was made LLD in 1852. He was a Justice of the Peace and High Sherriff of Count y Dublin in 1877. Born 3 July 1817, he married Jane, daughter of Hamilton Stuart Wallace of Shergrim, Co Tyrone. They had three sons, Janes Francis Lenox, Captain James Napier CE, MA, TCD, and Captain Henry William Hamilton. Henry James afterwards married Elizabeth Mary, daughter of Lieut-Gen. Augustus St«i» «/i»John Clerke KH. His eldest son, James Francis Lenox, succeeded him.
