      Lois McFarlane Smith, 85, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 9, 2014. She was born on February 28, 1929 to Peter William and Sarah May McFarlane in Ogden, Utah.
      She married Leo Don Smith on August 8, 1947 in Ogden, Utah. They were the parents of five sons, Rodger (Beth Ann), Leslie (Sheryl), Thomas (Jeaneen), David (deceased), and Clint.
      Mom lived in Ogden most of her 85 years. Lois had a very successful career at the Internal Revenue Service, retiring after 30 years as a Division Manager, and earning the Department of Treasury Gallatin Award. She served on the Board of Director s of the Red Cross for many years.
      She enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, and travel.
      Lois is survived by her loving husband, four sons, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who loved and admired her.
      She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, her infant son, David, and grandson, Travis.
      At her request an intimate family Graveside service and viewing was held on June 12, 2014. Services entrusted to Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary.
