- Terry McFarland Kimbrough, 84, of Fayetteville passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015 in Fayetteville, Ar.
She was born October 29, 1930, the daughter of James D. and Meta Etris McFarland.
Terry received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from the University of Arkansas, and was a teacher for the Fayetteville Public School System for over thirty years. She was a Golden Sister of Alpha Delta Kappa, volunteered for Cooperated Emergency Outreach, and was the co-owner of Watts Warehouse with her husband Jim.
While in college, Terry was a very active member of the Baptist Student Union and met her husband Jim. She was a member of Rolling Hills Baptist Church where she served as a deacon, a Sunday school teacher, a member of the choir, and on many committees. She was a charter member of University Baptist Church.
Terry was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, James R. Kimbrough, their infant son, and two brothers, Darrel E. McFarland and Charles M. McFarland.
The surviving family includes her two sons; Jim Brad Kimbrough and wife Cheri, and Les Kimbrough and wife Sandra both of Fayetteville. Two sisters; Judith Corkill of Austin, Texas and Phyllis Barnett of Holly Springs, North Carolina. Her Granddaughters include Cynthia Kimbrough, Amanda Kimbrough, Hannah Kimbrough, Meredith Kimbrough, and Kara Sparks, and great-grandsons Mark and Christian all of Fayetteville.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, March 23, 2015 at Rolling Hills Baptist Church in Fayetteville with interment at Fairview Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
