  Bradford McFarland's Y-DNA test #39652 shows him a match with the Cadet branch of McFarland, and part of the group with 18 at DYS576, which is a match with the Whitley Co. McFarlands from Duncan McFarland (kit #506148) and the line from Robert McFarland of Lancaster Co. PA who died in 1751.
