They were divorced in 1862 at Grimes County, Texas.<br style="box-sizing: border-box;"><br style="box-sizing: border-box;">Henry Mitchell Black married Harriett Louise Dewey on 15 December 1862 a CONC t Palestine, Texas.<br style="box-sizing: border-box;"><br style="box-sizing: border-box;">During the Civil War, he operated a line of stagecoaches in Texas and Louisiana.<br style="box-sizing: border-box;"><br style="box-sizin CONC g: border-box;">He was a Captain in the Mexican War.<br style="box-sizing: border-box;"><br style="box-sizing: border-box;">He received a license in 1880 to operate the ferry on the Brazos River. Foust.<br style="box-sizing: border-box;"><br style="box-sizing: border-box;">His grave was in the Foust pasture. Bulldozers scraped the rocks which enclo CONC sed two graves into a heap, breaking many.
