Notes - After the death of Richard Crabtree, Catherine took her youngest children and moved to her brother's farm. Is Sugar Creek the location of this farm? Catherine dies in 1920 and the children go to live with the Hardy Garren family. Two of the brothers are married to two of the Garren girls. Hardy Garren moved to Calhoun, Gordon co. and my daddy said they went to his home many times when he was a child.

Mary Helen Haines notes:
In the 1900 census in Gilmer Co. GA, Catherine and Richard say they have been married 15 years, so in 1885. She says she has 4 children, and 4 are alive, and that includes a Grover McFarland, age 13, birth date Feb. 1887. I have no idea if this is the same as Grover C. McFarland, born in 1883/4, who is also in the 1900 census living with his brother Henry B.
