  John Macfarlane Proctor married Alice Maude Mary Davies in 1901 (NZSG record number 1901/5603; NZBDM Marriage 1901/5011). The NZBDM records do show an Alice Proctor as dying in 1913, aged 31, but I have not confirmed a link. No record of an Alice Proctor as a new mother in the 1900 to 1915 time period....
