He was born March 4, 1918, in Elton, Louisiana. He was a member of the Christian Church, served in the United States Air Corps and was employed with General Electric. McFarland is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary McFarland of Arlington; his mother, Lyda Annetta Alysworth McFarland of Arlington; one son, Scott McFarland of Arlington; two sisters, Mrs. Ann M. Morris of Dallas, and Mrs. C. B. Kemble of Grange; other relatives and close friends. Graveside services were held Wednesday afternoon, January 3, at 3 p.m. at the Burnet Cemetery with Brother Charles Kemble officiating. Arrangements were made under the direction of the Edgar Funeral Directors.
