Alexander Dunlap (1716-1744), of Scottish Lineage, immigrated from Scotland or Ulster to Augusta County, Virginia in 1730, and married Ane MacFarlane in 1737. Their first son, John Dunlap (1738-1804), was born in Philadelphia, and reared in Augusta County, Virginia. Includes Dunlap ancestors in Scotland and Ireland.
