  	C. Sylvanus Logan was hanged by the Confederate Army for desertion. It enraged his brothers, Israel, Zadock, and Jasper and brother-in-law George W. Walker. They all enlisted the Union Co F 1st Arkansas at Fort Smith on 10 Sep, 1863.
