- MARRIAGE: Anna married (1) about 1910 to ----- CLARK, by whom she had two
sons, and (2) about 1925/1934 to ----- NEWMAN, who died in 1935.
RESIDENCE: 1970 at Ona, WV 25545.
STORY: Letter from Anna L. NEWMAN to Gary J. Morris in 1969,"(Virginis)...used
to be a black smith and had a flour and meal mill...I think he owned the store
at Ona right after he married the first time. He sold shoes, horse shoes, and
nails, rugs, feed, dry goods, groceries: everything there was to sell...When
he lived, the store had a sign "V. LOVEJOY" on front and the road came right by
it. I bought back the old property and had to go above my old house and build
me a smaller store a hundred feet or so from where the old store used to be. I
have been in the house now for about 15 years. All that is standing of the old
building is the old two story house, and I still live in it."
