• Notes

  John Lane joined the Confederate armies in 1861 in Bonham, Co. D, 8 Regiment of the texas Infantry and was sent to Camp Rusk in Lamar County. He was Second Lt. He was elected Captain on May 8, 1862, of Co. H of the 9th (Young's) Regiment. He was killed in battle on Oct. 9, 1862 near Perryville, KY.
