    Notes:

    Rita Elaine Woodward passed away on October 27th, 2016. She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Harold G. Woodward. She is survived by her four children, Geoffrey Harold, Christi Ann (Dockery), Mark Forrest, and Paul Scott Woodward; their spouses, seven grandchildren and five-great granchildren. She was a Registered Nurse and retired from Methodist Hospital. She was also a Substitute School Nurse. A life member of the Girl Scouts of the USA, she served as a troop leader, neighborhood chairman, Trainer of Leaders, Day Camp Director and Board Committee member. She was one of the first two La Leche League leaders in San Antonio and was the Area Professional Liason. A member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church, she was very active on the Building Committee. Among her other interests was a love of geneology. Having traced her own family roots, she helped many others find their own ancestors, and traveled to Salt Lake City twice a year to do research in the largest Family History Center in the world and was a member and past president of the San Antonio Geneological Society and member of the Scottish Society of San Antonio. A Vigil will be held on Sunday, October 30th, 2016 from 5:00 PM untill 9:00 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 7735 Gibbs Sprawl Rd., San Antonio, Tx 78239. A funeral service will be held at St. John Neumann Catholic Church on Monday, October 31st., 2016 at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations in Rita's name be made to: the San Antonio Geneological Society, 911 Melissa Dr., San Antonio, Tx 78213-2024.
